Bacon-Wrapped Cinnamon Apples

Ingredients
  • 2 organic apples
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 6-8 slices bacon
  • 1 tsp chopped thyme or ½ tsp dried thyme
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare your apples by coring and slicing them into ½-inch pieces. Coat evenly with cinnamon in a mixing bowl.
  3. Slice the bacon crosswise into thirds so that the pieces are long enough to be wrapped around the apples once.
  4. Proceed with wrapping one slice of bacon around one apple slice, and placing seam side down on the baking sheet.
  5. Bake on the middle oven rack for 23-25 minutes until the apples are softened. Broil for 3 minutes until the bacon begins to caramelize.
  6. Let cool before serving. Secure with toothpicks if serving as a party appetizer.
