The First AIP Certified Coaches

In general, we have consistently focused on at least one big, special project at Autoimmune Wellness every year since beginning our partnership. In mid-2016 we started hatching plans for that one big, special project of 2017 . . . training healthcare providers from many backgrounds on the Autoimmune Protocol and how to effectively integrate it into their practices. We felt 2017 was the right year to launch our official effort to “scale up” the Autoimmune Wellness mission and do work that could truly change the landscape for those with autoimmune disease!

Today, we are happy to share that 17 months after first hatching our plans, the very first class of AIP Certified Coaches has been certified! We had over 100 students with backgrounds as diverse as medical doctors to personal trainers, pharmacists to health coaches, registered dietitians and nurses to naturopaths and mental health professionals. Not only were all these students diverse in their health and wellness backgrounds, but geographically they spanned the globe and represented both brand new and long-standing experience in the field. Our virtual classroom was a very rich environment for sharing how best to serve autoimmune clients and patients. The experience was incredible!

Working to bridge that gap by combining forces with our friend, Sarah Ballantyne, Ph.D. to create the AIP Certified Coach Practitioner Training Program, is probably one of the most rewarding and inspiring things we’ve ever been involved in during our time in this community. We were so lucky to have such motivated students, whose passion for working with the autoimmune population is limitless. Many of our students had a personal experience with autoimmune disease that lead to their interest, but there were also practitioners who were there to learn not because of personal experience, but because they see the epidemic of autoimmune disease and are eager to be part of the solution.

The healthcare world is already beginning to change, but our new AIP Certified Coaches are going to contribute to dramatically speeding up this process by sharing all they have learned with their colleagues and patients. Autoimmune disease is complex and requires a nuanced strategy using all the tools in the tool box. Collaboration and integration are the future of healthcare and these new coaches are doing everything in their power to make that future a reality!

Congrats to all of our new AIP Certified Coaches! Thank you for your focus on this needed work and your bravery in being some of the very first to take this method of healing mainstream. We have no doubt that the impact of your work will be felt throughout the autoimmune community!

If you are looking for a practitioner trained as an AIP Certified Coach, check out the new directory HERE. We hope this resource will be just the thing you were looking for on your health journey!

If you are a practitioner or a provider in either the conventional or natural healthcare worlds, seriously consider being a part of the second enrollment of AIP Certified Coach! (We’ll be getting started in late March 2018.)

How do we get more information about working with one of these health professionals?

  • Mickey and Angie, thank you both so much for all the work you both and Sarah put into the AIP certified coach class! I loved the content, the way it was presented, and the whole experience! I’ve connected with so many new people in the AIP community with my classmates, some near to home, some further away, but I know we’ll all remain fast friends, and will continue to help each other as we build our AIP practices. The ripples are getting bigger! 😉
