AIP Candied-Bacon Recipe

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the maple syrup and coconut aminos.
  3. Place bacon on a large baking sheet lined with foil or parchment paper.
  4. Slather bacon with maple mixture using a brush or if you don't have a basting brush, you can dip each bacon strip into the mixture.
  5. Sprinkle coconut sugar evenly onto each side of the bacon.
  6. Bake for 30 min.
  7. Flip the bacon to the other side and bake for an additional 10 min.
  8. Flip the bacon to the other side and bake for an additional 5 min.
  9. Repeat this 5 minute increment about 4 more times or until you see the liquid mixture bubbling rapidly. Be sure to not let the bacon burn. (The sugar will most likely protect it from burning)
