Ingredients
  • 1 large juicy fresh lemon
  • 4-6 fresh mint leaves
  • ½ inch by ½ inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled
  • ¼ cup filtered water
  • ⅛ teaspoon black salt (Kala Namak) or any sea salt
  • 6-8 ice cubes
  • About 4 oz of sparkling mineral water
Instructions
  1. Cut the lemon into 4 pieces. Cut the rind from each piece. Also remove all the seeds from the pieces.Add them to a blender.
  2. Add the fresh mint and the ginger as well. Add the water and blend for 30 seconds (don't blend for too long)
  3. Pour this mixture through a large strainer or a nut milk bag or cheesecloth to collect the juice.
  4. Transfer the blended juice to a tall serving glass. Add the black salt 9or the sea salt) and the ice cubes. Add the sparkling water to fill the glass up. Serve immediately.
Notes
Black Salt or Kala Namak is a rock salt with a pungent sulfurous smell and it tastes great in savory dishes.
