LEMON HONEY AIR FRYER WINGS

Ingredients
  • INGREDIENTS:
  • 2 lbs chicken wings

  • MARINADE:
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 lemon, the juice of
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

  • LEMON HONEY WING GLAZE:
  • 1 lemon, the zest of (using same lemon from the marinade)
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon arrowroot
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • Salt to taste
Instructions
  1. Clean and zest your lemon. Set zest aside.
  2. Place chicken wings in a bag with marinade ingredients. Massage to coat the chicken with the seasoning. Let the chicken marinate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  3. Once ready to cook, place your wings in the air fryer on its wings setting and cook until they reach a doneness temperature of 165°F (about 10-12 minutes on each side, flipping in between).
  4. While the wings are cooking, prepare the wing glaze and arrowroot slurry.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the arrowroot and water until well-combined and set aside.
  6. In a small pot, add all remaining glaze ingredients minus the salt. Cook for 5 minutes on medium high heat.
  7. Lower heat to cool a bit, add slurry and stir to thicken slightly. Sauce should coat the back of the spoon.
  8. Place wings in a large bowl, pour over glaze and toss until well-coated.
  9. Finish with salt to season as desired and enjoy!
